Can you hear the swoosh, swoosh, swoosh of  Moe’s skates gliding on the ice? Can you taste a lemon snow cone or feel the chill in the air? 

 

What do you think the ice rink would look like up close? Join us as we explore the magic of ice. In our magical ice rink scene we tried to think about what the beautiful ice sculptures created by the Winter Roses would look like? We used a miniature mold to make the dolphin sculpture and blue food coloring to give it some color. We used other ice molds too. Some we filled with juice for color and others we experimented with food coloring. When we hold the ice in our hands we get the same chill and thrill our characters must have had enjoying the Icicle Carnival. 

 

Can you make a miniature Ice Carnival? Maybe you can use ice cubes to build a tiny igloo. You don’t have to use toy animals, you can make some characters out of clay or draw them. Maybe you want yo build a tiny Zamboni  out of cardboard or a Snowball Bullseye Dunk Tank? Whatever miniature scene or or art you create the most important thing to remember is the characters’ kindness and how they took care of each other and their community.
