Can you paint or draw us a picture? You might even use a real dandelion head as a paint brush. Dipping a dandelion in paint and moving it around the page might make some awesome swirls and designs. We also like to use clay to make our favorite characters from the story. Can you sculpt Dandy and Sneaky traveling down a river in a canoe as they head into the forest? 

 

Search your own backyard or local park to find some dandelions and stems to make a pressed flower collage. You can use any leaves, greens,  twigs, grasses, stems or  flowers you like. Press them under a heavy book for about a day or two until they are flat and you can put it in a small frame with any fun design you’d like. Maybe you can even make a Flat Dandy! 

 

We created a flattened flower frame and a clay Dandy! For the pressed flower frame you can gather whatever flowers, stems and pieces you’d like, press then in a piece of parchment paper and let them lay flat under a heavy book for a few days. Then create the design you’d like and place on a frame.  For a clay Dandy you see we took special care to mold his petals and took him outside to the garden!  Whatever project you pick remember to make it fun and colorful. A few google eyes always make us giggle!
